Fat Tuesday / Mardi Gras

Fat Tuesday started out by decorating our table in the dance hall. Fun N Sun has a competition for the best decorated table as well as for the best costume. The girls had a lot of fun planning all the decorations and we won for the most humourous table although that was not our intent. Myrna won for the most humourous costume and that was definitely her intent.
 

Before the evening dance, the Mardi Gras committee sponsored a cajun dinner in the rec hall. Dinner featured jambalaya with shrimp, corn bread, salad, etc. It was delicious.
 

Then it was time to get dressed in our costumes and head over to the dance hall for the costume ball / dance. Here are a few pictures from the evening.
