Summer at the Lake

After the Kingston rally, we headed back to Maberly and parked our Titanium at it's summer home. The weather this summer has been absolutely fantastic for camping, so we spent most weekends (which most weeks usually stretched from Friday to Tuesday) at McGowan Lake. We would barely have time to get home each week for laundry and mail - and oh yes the weekly grass cutting. Labour Day weekend is the last big weekend at the campground, although the season officially ends Oct 1st.

Now that September has rolled around, it's time to start the 'preparing for departure list'. The truck is due for new brakes, the trailer needs raising, and the house needs prep for our departure.

We will be leaving at the end of October when we are heading for Fort Myers, Florida where we will spend November. The blog will become more active when we take to the road again.

  1. With the drop in temps. I am sure your pace will quicken to get things ready for the hopefully warm south this year. Are you heading to Morry's to raise the trailer?
